GROWING YOUR NATURAL NAILS QUARANTINE STYLE✨
Soooo.... You’re sitting at home on your couch picking your nails and ouch! You accidentally ripped your nail bed back..
Now you’re thinking “what do I do now?” Well first things first, lets give up that bad habit of yours. Whether it’s biting, pulling, or picking your nails, STOP IT.
Your nails are a reflection of you, and just because you’re quarantined and unable to get them professionally done is all of the reason to grow them out healthily.
The first step to growing healthy nails while quarantined is to remove anything that is currently on your hands to exhibit your natural nail bed. This includes regular polish, gel polish, powder, or acrylic. This can easily be done with our PNL Survival Kit, which is $25 and includes all of the tools and products needed for a successful soak off.
Once your nails are completely bare you can begin the following natural nail care regimen:
Give yourself a mini manicure once a week. This includes giving your hands an exfoliating treatment, cutting and/or filing your nails down (as needed) to avoid breaks, pushing your cuticles back for a lengthier nail appearance, as well as buffing your nails for a smoother nail surface.
If you’re thinking “this is impossible without my nail tech” ... IT ISNT
With the New PNL Beauty Kit, a waterless mani is possible and necessary.
The kit is $35 and includes both an exfoliating hand and foot mask, a foot peeling sock, a facial mask, nail conditioning remover, cotton balls, a buff, a file, a pumice bar, nail clippers, nail nippers, a instant gel effect top coat, and our handmade cuticle oil.
The PNL cuticle oil is used to both soften and strengthen the skin around the nail, as well as to promote natural nail growth. Take it with you everywhere as it is a necessity. After your waterless mani, you may decide to do a waterless pedi or even a facial! With your PNL beauty kit, anything is possible.

THE GREAT NAILSBY
When You Look at The Following Photos Does It Transport You To Another Era?
One of our clients, Ashley, recreated the Great Gatsby look for her engagement party. And boy oh boy, did she nail it! We were so obsessed with the theme of the party, her outfit, her nails, we just had to know more. We actually got a chance to speak with Ashley and ask her a few questions regarding the details of her engagement party nails.
Check out our Q&A with Ashley Below:
PNL: “Hi Ashley, thank you for allowing us to interview you. We were so interested in your story. What led you to want to recreate the Great Gatsby look for your engagement party?”
Ashley: “We got engaged on New Year’s Eve at the beginning of 2020, and thought there was no better way to celebrate our engagement than a Roaring 20s party! Also we love vintage looks, and had a few outfits on hand.”
PNL: “How did you describe this design/ what you wanted to your nail tech?”
Ashley: “I have always been a lover of ombré nails, and wanted something that would capture the vintage look but also worked for engagement photos. The gold chrome and white ombré was a great combination to match my engagement party dress: classy with some unique shimmer!”
PNL: Why are your nails so important to you?
Ashley: “I think we all spend a lot of time looking at our hands. Having my nails done to me is as important as a great outfit: it makes me feel confident, badass and ready to take on anything”
PNL: Well what has it been like not being able to get your nails done because of Covid-19?
Ashley: “I miss my regular nail appointments, not only because I don’t feel as put together, but also because the folks at The Polish Nail Lounge feel like family. I miss seeing everyone!”
PNL: How do you feel when you come to The Polish Nail Lounge?
Ashley: “There is something really special about the Polish Nail Lounge you can tell when you walk in. I have been a regular there since I moved to Philadelphia. I go every 2-3 weeks, sometimes more for eyebrows. The environment is friendly and welcoming, more like friends and neighbors than a nail salon. I brought girlfriends visiting from out of town and they all noticed it as well. That friendly, community feeling between staff and other clients is something I have always loved about my visits.”
Ashley we miss you at the Polish Nail Lounge and we would like to thank you again for giving us an inside peek to your Great Gatsby themed engagement party and nail design.
And if you were wondering, Ashley stated that everyone LOVED the Roaring Twenties theme! Everyone had so much fun and people really got into the costumes. She and her fiancé hopes their actual wedding will be “as much fun as the engagement party!”
